This Privacy Policy explains how Her Biz Bestie collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you visit herbizbestie.com, sign up for a free guide, create an account, or buy one of our digital guides.

Her Biz Bestie is operated as a sole trader (ABN 62 761 627 546) based in New South Wales, Australia. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you have any questions, you can reach us at admin@herbizbestie.com.

What information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the site and deliver what you asked for:

• Information you give us. Your name and email address when you sign up for a free guide or create an account, and any details you include when you contact us.
• Purchase information. When you buy a guide, our payment provider (Stripe) processes your payment. We never see or store your full card details. We receive limited information such as your email address, which guide you bought, and the amount paid.
• Account information. If you create an account to access your purchases, we store your email address and a record of what you have bought so you can log back in and re-download it.
• Information collected automatically. When you visit the site we collect standard analytics data (such as the pages you view, your approximate location, and your device and browser type) through Google Analytics, along with basic technical logs kept by our hosting provider.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file saved in your browser that helps a website remember things. We use two kinds: essential cookies that keep you logged in and let checkout work (the site cannot function without these), and analytics cookies set by Google Analytics that help us understand how the site is used. Videos on our UGC pages can also set cookies once you play them, as explained below. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

Embedded videos

Our UGC and portfoliopages show videos that are hosted on YouTube, a service provided by Google. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, which means that simply viewing the page does not let YouTube set tracking cookies on your browser.

If you press play on a video, YouTube loads the video and may set cookies and receive information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and details of what you watched. That information is handled by Google under its own Privacy Policy, not this one. If you would rather not share that information, simply do not play the videos.

How we use your information

• To deliver the free guides and paid guides you request.
• To run your account and let you re-download past purchases.
• To send you the emails you signed up to receive.
• To process and confirm your purchases.
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
• To meet our legal and tax obligations.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the trusted service providers that help us run the business, and only so they can perform their role:

• Stripe to process payments securely.
• MailerLite to send the emails you subscribed to.
• Supabase to store your account details and deliver your downloads.
• Vercel to host the website.
• Google Analytics to measure website traffic.
• YouTube (also Google) to host and play the videos shown on our UGC pages.

Overseas storage

Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. By using the site and providing your information, you consent to your information being stored and handled this way. We take reasonable steps to only work with providers that protect your information appropriately.

Marketing emails

If you sign up for a free guide or otherwise opt in, we may send you helpful marketing tips and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any of our emails, and we will stop.

How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, including using reputable providers, encrypted connections, and private storage for your downloads. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You can ask us to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. To make a request, email admin@herbizbestie.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide what you asked for, and after that for as long as we are required to for legal, tax, or record-keeping reasons.

Children

This site is intended for adults running or growing a business. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
